Ratings
It always have been a version with much lower sustain & a little bit higher damage than the roaming version. With the recent torment changes, most of the damage got removed. In zerg fights ,where scrappers etc spam cleansing , it hasnt done that great anyway in large scale fight. To that, demon stunbreak and Demon Facet of nature is most likely a condi spike that you do to yourself. It only potential right now is a bit cc, booning(which was alot better before the 5man-facet change) and some ranged condition strips (that get reapplied quickly anyway).
Good for cheesing out smaller groups while outnumbering them with the kinda broken f2 skill, otherwise as mentioned inferior to Mallyx/Dwarf renegade (tho a lot easier to play). Obviously only at all playable in smallscale due to being condi (and rated for smallscale).
Essentially only useful if you find Renegade (or core) too hard to play or really wanna beat up on condi builds at a big expense to overall dmg and group utility.
Ignoring the overall build concept, the build has a few choices that aren't quite covered by the term questionable.
The stat spread and sigils are obviously terrible.
Rising Tide flat out does nothing.
The corruption traits are less than ideal.
Shared empowerment is much weaker than the alternative.
Shield should at least be listed as an option (probably just be the main alternative).
Strong condi damage, with the power nerfs to herald, this build shines in damage over its power herald brothers. This version has excellent boon support and good CC, and is best for all-around zerg support.
It's ok. The Renegade version with dwarf/mallyx and shortbow is a lot better.
An amazing source of CC and strong condition based damage. The boon support of Herald and the versatility of the build let it shine in group play.
