Introduction

This is a step-by-step guide which explains how to craft , the Legendary PvP Back item.

Legendaries are convenience/cosmetic items first and foremost, they won't help you out in PvP. They're stored in your account storage shared across all characters. Their stats can be changed for free any time out of combat and upgrades can be removed with a simple click.

Always finish gathering everything in a given step before moving on to the next one! The guide is structured in a way that you'll hardly ever have to go to the same NPC or location twice if you follow the steps in the correct order. Each step also assumes that you have the necessary materials from the previous step.

If you have to craft s then make sure that you also have a character with 500 skill in one of the following crafting disciplines: Artificer Artificer, Huntsman Huntsman, Weaponsmith Weaponsmith, Armorsmith Armorsmith, Leatherworker Leatherworker, or Tailor Tailor.

Otherwise crafting won't be necessary.

WORK IN PROGRESS, EARLY STAGES

Timegating

If you're starting from scratch then crafting might take you at least 2 seasons, as only 100 PvP League Ticket PvP League Ticket can be obtained per Conquest season and you'll need 125 in total. During the season itself there's no other timegating mechanism associated with this currency, you could even grind out all 100 in the first week.

There are some timegated achievements (like winning 3 ranked games a day 15 times) but technically these can be skipped if you do all the other achievements.

Step 1: Accountbound Materials

The first thing you have to do is get the following accountbound materials and PvP currencies:

  • (4) - comes from the final reward chest of the Glorious Reward Track. Completing this track twice should be enough as you can get 2 fragments from one chest if you opt for the 2nd fragment instead of the Exotic armor.
  • PvP League Ticket PvP League Ticket (125) - final reward of every non-repeatable League Reward Chest, earned through playing ranked games. This is limited to 100 per season, but with 75 we're well within that limit.

Universal currencies that are not strictly tied to PvP but can be acquired there too:

  • (between 0 and 40) - found in Rank-Up Chests and most loot boxes that come from PvP Reward Tracks. Alternatively use on a level 80 character to earn shards instead of levels. However you won't need any unless you have to craft crafting s.
  • (2) - one crystal is made from a combination of 5 + + , so you'll need 10 of each. 1 Brick is made from 100 Pile of Bloodstone dust, 1 Dragnite Ingot from 100 Dragonite Ore and 1 Empyreal Star from 100 Empyreal Fragments. Could also drop from salvaging Ascended Chest, Leg, and Weapon slot items. Check your bank first because there's a chance you might already have enough of these.
  • (between 0 and 60) - used in crafting Bloodstone Bricks, Dragonite Ingots and Empyreal Stars. If you already have them gathering dust in your material storage, or already have 2 Vision Crystals then you won't need any shards.
  • (77) - contained in the final reward chest of many reward tracks, especially non-repeatable ones.

Step 2: Ascended Precursor

You should work on Step 2 and Step 3 simultaneously, as building up your Ascended backpiece is part of the achievement progression too.

Head over to the League Vendor, open the 1st tab and buy:

Each wing is associated with one of the 4 achievement sections you need to complete, you don't have to buy them in a bulk. As soon as you have the currency to buy the next one, you should do it.

After the last wing pick up some items from the 2nd tab:

Note: the wings have to be bought in order, as purchasing one wing unlocks the next one at the vendor.

Step 3: Achievements

You're going to have to grind out 4 sets of achievements called parts before you could move on to the next step of the guide. This is going to take quite a while, but if you've done any PvP in the past then chances are the 1st set should be close to completion.

The parts are built on each other, meaning that you'll need to finish Year of the Ascension: Part I to unlock the achievement of Year of the Ascension: Part II. There are 2 exceptions to this rule:

  • Achievements associated with playing 3 ranked games a day (Daily League participator)

When you finish these two achievements you automatically unlock their next part, even if you haven't finished the meta achievement of the previous part(s).

For all the other achievements you must finish the part's meta first.

Year of the Ascension: Part I

You must complete 11 achievements for the meta achievement, most of these are simple time sinks, like winning 15 ranked matches or earning 40k rank points. Doing so will give you .

The only ones you need to do something specific for are:

  • League Dominator - win 3 ranked matches in a day, which might not be something yu pay attention to usually.
  • Daily League Participation - play 3 ranked matches per day, 15 times. So little over 2 weeks of timegating.
  • League Professional - complete 2 profession achievements, aka win 5 games on 2 different professions. This requires a bit of multiclassing, can't just spam all your ranked games on the same character.

Some of the achievements are simple purchases from the League Vendor:

  • Wings of Glory - buy a .
  • Essence Collector - buy an .

Finally there's some Mystic Forging left to do for Mystic Essence Collector. Combine:

  • 20
  • 50
  • 250

Year of the Ascension: Part II

Year of the Ascension: Part III

Year of the Ascension: Part IV

Step 4: Crafting Materials

Before approaching the Mystic Forge you should grab the missing materials from the Trading Post if you're missing any.

This is the gold sink part of the process.

Shopping List

First the Tier 6 materials:

  • 250
  • 250
  • 250
  • 250
  • 250
  • 250
  • 250
  • 250

Then the final components:

  • 250
  • 250

Vision Crystal

To create a Vision Crystal in the next step of the guide first you must make some Ascended materials.

For this you'll need either 425 skill level in Chef Chef or 450 skill level in either Armorsmith, Artificer, Huntman, Leatherworker, Tailor or Weaponsmith.

  • (10) - crafted from 1000 + 20 + 100
  • (10) - crafted from 1000 + 20 + 100
  • (10) - crafted from 1000 + 20 + 100

can be bought directly from crafting trainers in bulks of 10, so buy 30 not 300.

Once you have all the necessary matarials go ahead and craft 2 using the Bricks, Ingots, Stars and the Augur's Stones. For this step however you need 500 skill level in either Armorsmith, Artificer, Huntman, Leatherworker, Tailor or Weaponsmith.

Step 5: Mystic Forge

Now we can start forging!

First create the Gift of Magic and Gift of Might with the materials you've bought:

250 250
250 250
250 250
250 250

At this point double-click the 4 s in your inventory to create a .

Create a Gift of the Competitor, Gift of Fortune, Gift of Skirmishing and Wings of Ascension by combining the following parts:

250
5
250 2
77 1

Now combine them all:

That's it, you're done! Congratulations, you're now the proud owner of the Legendary PvP back item .

Legendary gear goes straight to your account storage so don't look for it in your inventory, click the amulet slot in the Hero panel and the legendary option should appear on the left, ready to be equipped.
