Overview

Condition Druid is a new build introduced with the Druid changes in the June 27 balance patch. It is a very solid Condition DPS build with short ramp time, good burst, and very high self-healing. Condition Druid is one of the highest DPS solo builds and can solo even powerful champions in glass cannon gear.

Opener

A class's opener can be very important for establishing rotation loops and front-loading damage so that enemies die before they are able to kill you. A simple and very effective opener for Condi Druid in open world follows:

  1. Sharpening Stone
  2. Spike Trap
  3. Poison Volley
  4. Glyph of Alignment
  5. Entangle
  6. Crippling Shot
  7. Quick Shot
  8. Weapon Swap
  9. Bonfire
  10. Splitblade
  11. Winter's Bite
  12. Throw Torch
  13. "We Heal As One!" (Copies your boons to your pet)
  14. Celestial Avatar
  15. Natural Convergence
  16. Seed of Life
  17. Lunar Impact
  18. Cosmic Ray until Seed of Life is off cooldown
  19. Seed of Life
  20. Cosmic Ray x2
  21. Drop Celestial Avatar
  22. Splitblade

From here, fill with priority skills until you can cast Winter's Bite again, then swap back to Shortbow and begin the Rotation listed below.

A good way to remember this rotation is to use your utility skills, Shortbow 2+4+3 then weapon swap to Axe/Torch, use 5+2+3, enter Celestial Avatar for 5 + 2 + 3, 1 until you can use 2 again, 1 a few more times, drop Avatar and fill with your big skills.

Rotation

Condition Druid has a primarily priority-based rotation depending on the weapon set. While casting Sharpening Stone off cooldown, follow this priority:

Shortbow
  1. Entangle
  2. Celestial Avatar + 5 / 2
  3. Poison Volley
  4. Call Lightning
  5. Spike Trap
  6. Crippling Shot
  7. Glyph of Alignment
Axe/Torch
  1. Entangle
  2. Celestial Avatar + 5 / 2
  3. Splitblade
  4. Call Lightning
  5. Spike Trap
  6. Bonfire
  7. Winter's Bite
  8. Glyph of Alignment

In general, you should focus on using Celestial Avatar when it is off cooldown, use 5, 2, and 3, then drop it while executing the rest of your rotation.

Quick Draw

If using Quick Draw, the priority of certain skills changes drastically. When utilizing the Quick Draw buff, always prioritize the following skills above others:

  • Bonfire
  • Poison Volley
  • Natural Convergence

This also allows for you to stay in Celestial Avatar longer for a second cast of Natural Convergence, rather than dropping it after the normal rotation. This assists greatly with cleave, since you can reduce the cooldown of strong cleave skills such as Natural Convergence and Bonfire.

Defense

  • Quick Shot - evade
  • Celestial Avatar - lots of self-healing, especially with the heal-hybrid variants.

CC

  • This build features significant Immobilize Immobilize from several sources, including Entangle, Crippling Shot, Natural Convergence, and Lunar Impact
  • Lunar Impact
  • Concussion Shot
  • Celestial Avatar
  • Winter's Bite

Condition Druid is currently the highest DPS solo build in the game with quick ramp up, good cleave, and extremely high defensive capabilities even in glass cannon gear. It has relatively good strike output as well, making it an incredible option in almost every possible open world scenario.

Been running this for about a week with Celestial gear. Fantastic fun, and can solo almost anything the game throws at me whilst also been ok at group support with might and healing. Highly recommended.
