Battleweaver - Crossbow + Staff Small Scale PvP Build
- High Burst Damage
- High Single Target DPS
- Great Kiting Ability
- High Skill Ceiling
- Low Utility
Overview
This Battleweaver build aims to deal high AOE damage throughout PvP encounters, capable of pumping out damage while having very low cooldowns. While the combination isn't part of the current meta, it remains one of the strongest DPS classes if damage is the main goal. It is a great build for guild vs guild PvP, especially if you can rely on your team to peel for you as mobility is somewhat lacking in this build.
Attributes
Focus most of your points on Dexterity and Perception to improve your hit chance, critical hit chance, and overall damage. Since Crossbows and Staffs are all about dealing damage, you can skip Wisdom. Adding a few points to Strength is still helpful for extra damage and a bit more HP, aiming to reach at least 30 points in total however you prefer during the early game, aiming for 50 points once you are pushing for late game gear.
Skills
Even though leveling isn’t too hard, make sure to upgrade Quick Fire and Serial Fire Bombs to boost your damage and make it easier. Focus on these skills because they’re important for increasing your damage from the start of Throne and Liberty all the way to endgame PvP content.
In PvP, you deal a lot of damage by constantly stacking burns with Serial Fire Bombs, following up with Fireball Barrage and finishing off targets with Judgment Lightning and Chain Lightning deal great damage and are an important part of this Battleweaver build. While Ice Spear damage is nice, it shouldn't be a priority as upgrading this skill won't improve its damage enough when in comparison with other skills.
Inner Peace is the main way of regaining mana and can even be used before your rotation in order to lower the mana cost but you shouldn't upgrade it too early, focus on upgrading your offensive skills instead.
As far as passives go, begin by upgrading Nature's Power, Flame Condensation and most importantly Forbidden Sanctuary as it greatly improve your DPS by increasing your skill damage (a rare and often expensive stat otherwise). Eagle Vision increases your damage depending on your distance to the target, which makes it an important upgrade too. Mana Amp on the other hand offers you extra HP, being a very valuable passive for PVP while also adding extra mana.
Equipment
These are the first items you should strive for through the leveling period as they are very easy to get and upgrade or trait as needed. However, you shouldn't try to trait these items too much as you won't be spending too much time playing with this setup before you start changing pieces into the Midgame. The green accessories however are very easy to trait as you can craft many of them quickly in order to get the correct traits so you should consider traiting them until you change into purples. The same goes for the blue ring as you keep it for a long time.
This is the gear you should transition to once you're leveled to 50 and start grinding gear. It is comprised of gear you can get either from dungeons or by completing Litographs, they are relatively easy to trait up and you will spend most of the time wearing this set before advancing into the late game so traiting these items is very important and should be your main focus.
This is the current endgame gear you should aim for, and while it isn't easy to acquire, it offers great power without the need of acquiring archboss gear pieces. However, items like Tevent's Fangs of Fury or other archboss weapons are superior but difficult to acquire for the majority of players. If you do manage to get the archboss weapons for your build, feel free to use them over the weapons shown here.

Crossbow: Invest 9 points into Chain Fire to increase attack speed and raw ranged damage while 9 points should go into Move to increase heavy attack chance and ranged hit chance and Movement Speed. One last point goes in Regen.
Staff: To further maximize your damage output, allocate 9 points into Destroy to gain extra skill damage boost and cooldown speed. Then 6 points should go into Attribute for Burning Damage and Burning chance and extra damage while the remaining point goes into Mana.
Rotations
- Activate Mother Nature's Protest then buff with High Focus before using Inner Peace and cancelling it to get the mana cost efficiency buff. Follow up by using Selfless Diffusion then finally hiting your target with Mortal Mark and Quick Fire followed by Judgment Lightning right after.
- Continue the rotation with Ice Spear to bind the enemy player and transition into another Quick Fire followed by Chain Lightning and Fireball Barrage for both damage and to burn enemy mana. Use Nimble Leap to cancel the animation of Fireball Barrage and reset the cooldown of Quick Fire to use it again.
- Be sure to activate Mother Nature's Protest before beginning the rotation by buffing yourself with High Focus. Follow up with a fully charged Serial Fire Bombs to start dealing serious damage.
- Continue by using Inner Peace and cancelling it quickly so you still gain the benefit of lower mana usage when using skills. Follow-up with Selfless Diffusion and then use Quick Fire and Judgment Lightning.
- Use Fireball Barrage to make use of the burn stacks on the enemy and drain their mana before using Nimble Leap to animation cancel and reset Quick Fire before using Chain Lightning and Quick Fire. Finish the rotation with another Nimble Leap to reset Quick Fire and use it again.
