Darkblighter - Wand + Dagger Small Scale PvP Build
- Good DPS
- Great Self-sustain
- Easy to Play
- Low Mobility
- Squishy if CC'd
- Low Mana
Overview
This Wand + Dagger build focuses mostly on the damage skills of the dagger to deal burst damage before retreating. However, it maintains some of the healing and support skills of the Wand for extended self-sustain. The build remains a great choice for solo and small scale PVP of any kind, capable of dealing high burst damage and taking out enemies with ease.
Attributes
For this build, prioritize Perception and Dexterity to maximize your damage. These should be your main focus, particularly early on. As you progress and enhance your gear, continue investing into both to improve critical hits, accuracy, and range. Strength and Wisdom are secondary but still important. Strength boosts your health, improving durability, while Wisdom helps with mana regeneration. Although not as crucial, these stats will still contribute to your overall survival as you level up and gaining 30 points into Strength is particularly good for the extra health you receive.
Skills
This Wand & Dagger build focuses quick burst damage to single targets by the use of Shadow Strike, Ankle Strike, Cleaving Moonlight and Brutal Incision along with Fatal Stigma and these skills should take priority when you are upgrading. Inject Venom can be left for later but shouldn't be forgotten.
However, you shouldn't forget your healing skills either with Swift Healing and Fountain of Life being your main heals that allow you to refresh your health after a fight. Use Invincible Wall acts as your surprise and allows you to win fights thanks to your superior defense and it can also be used on party members so make sure to upgrade it too.
As far as passives go, your priority should remain Assassin's Instincts, Wrathful Edge and Shadow Walker as they provide a fantastic damage boost to all your abilities while also improving your defenses with the use of Shadow Walker which can be triggered by simply using Block Blade to boost your evasion rate.
Equipment
These are the first items you should strive for through the leveling period as they are very easy to get and upgrade or trait as needed. However, you shouldn't try to trait these items too much as you won't be spending too much time playing with this setup before you start changing pieces into the Midgame. The green accessories however are very easy to trait as you can craft many of them quickly in order to get the correct traits so you should consider traiting them until you change into purples. The same goes for the blue ring as you keep it for a long time.
This is the gear you should transition to once you're leveled to 50 and start grinding gear. It is comprised of gear you can get either from dungeons or by completing Litographs, they are relatively easy to trait up and you will spend most of the time wearing this set before advancing into the late game so traiting these items is very important and should be your main focus.
This is the current endgame gear you should aim for, and while it isn't easy to acquire, it offers great power without the need of acquiring archboss gear pieces. However, items like Tevent's Fangs of Fury or other archboss weapons are superior but difficult to acquire for the majority of players. If you do manage to get the archboss weapons for your build, feel free to use them over the weapons shown here.

Wand: Focus on upgrading Recovery first to maximize heavy attack chances. Then, spend 9 points on Damage to boost both your damage and cooldown speed. Finally, place the last point in Weaken for added versatility.
Dagger: Start with 9 points in Disguise for excellent passive defense, raising your evasion rate to very high levels and helping you survive tough situations. Then, invest 6 points into Assassination to increase critical damage and improve off-hand activation. Finish with 4 points in Poison to slightly boost your weaken chance.
Rotations
- This rotation focuses on single target burst damage. Start by using Inject Venom before using Shadow Strike to teleport and bind the target before using Ankle Strike to force them to the ground. Continue with Cleaving Moonlight (2x) and Fatal Stigma before finishing off with Brutal Incision.
Invincible Wall: Use this skill to shield yourself and your party members whenever required, either in order to soak some burst damage from your enemy or to save friendly targets.
Fountain of Life: Use this to replenish your HP between fights and to help your party heal up whenever needed.
Swift Healing: This skill is used in the same mannner as Fountain of Life and allows you to heal yourself between fights but also help those that need it.
Camouflage Cloak: Offers you stealth and a way to disengage whenever you are being focused, taking the heat off yourself.
Phantom Smokescreen: Use this to defend yourself against all attacks for a short while, particularly useful against Greatsword players. However, keep in mind that it doesn't defend you against Gaia Crash and you will have to use your Block Blade.
Cursed Nightmare: Use this skill to either catch enemies by sleeping them on the spot or to help with winning trades. Popping this during a fight can allow you time to heal up while they cannot react.
Useful Information
- Choose Lady Knight Kamarshea as your guardian; it offers vital protection with its shield, capable of absorbing damage equal to 50% of your mana. This not only aids in mitigating damage but also increases your cooldown speed, allowing you to heal more frequently.
