This build is up to date for the April 10, 2025 patch.
Overview
Crossbow and Dagger PvP build with the highest damage potential in the game, offering remarkable damage output and lethal capabilities. The combo of dealing quick high damage and its mobility makes the Crossbow Dagger build perfect as a duelist, adeptly maneuvering in and out of combat to dispatch foes before swiftly moving on to the next target.
Attributes
PRIMARY

Dexterity

Perception
SECONDARY

Strength

Wisdom
With the unique stats and attributes system in Throne and Liberty, it can be difficult to determine exactly where to invest your attribute points at each stage of the game. This is because gear pieces provide attributes just like leveling up does, meaning everyone will have a different number of attribute points depending on what gear they are wearing at the time.
Given this variation, it's best to reset your attributes regularly to adjust to the new gear you acquire. Aim to reach the achievement effects, which provide extra benefits at milestones like 30, 50, and 70 points.
To maximize damage with this build, prioritize Dexterity and Perception. Investing in these stats will significantly boost your damage, ensuring you can consistently deal high damage in every fight. While adding some points to Wisdom for mana regeneration can help with sustain, your main focus should remain on Dexterity and Perception for damage. Additionally, be sure to allocate 30 points into Strength, as the extra health it provides is particularly valuable in the late game when the Crossbow becomes less effective.
Skills
As this build focuses on small scale PVP and dueling, being one of the strongest duelists in the game. You should definitely focus on upgrading your main damage skills. Your top priority is
Quick Fire and
Mortal Mark, as they are fundamental to your combo, alongside
Fatal Stigma, offering incredible burst damage. Subsequently, focus on enhancing
Shadow Strike,
Brutal Incision, and
Mana Exchange in that order as they are also part of the main damage rotation while
Mana Exchange is incredibly powerful against CC, helping a great deal with melee DPS like Ravagers or Spear players.
For passives, prioritize enhancing
Ambidexterity,
Assassin's Instincts, and
Nature's Power to maximize your damage potential early on. These upgrades offer the most significant damage boosts.
Shadow Walker can be upgraded later, as the benefits it provides over the blue version of the passive skill are relatively minimal, making it more of a defensive choice.

These are the first items you should strive for through the leveling period as they are very easy to get and upgrade or trait as needed. However, you shouldn't try to trait these items too much as you won't be spending too much time playing with this setup before you start changing pieces into the Midgame. The green accessories however are very easy to trait as you can craft many of them quickly in order to get the correct traits so you should consider traiting them until you change into purples. The same goes for the blue ring as you keep it for a long time.

This is the gear you should transition to once you're leveled to 50 and start grinding gear. It is comprised of gear you can get either from dungeons or by completing Litographs, they are relatively easy to trait up and you will spend most of the time wearing this set before advancing into the late game so traiting these items is very important and should be your main focus.

While runes can be applied to different types of gear, you should make sure that you invest into the gear pieces that you plan on using for a long time. However, if the build you are using uses the same items between Mid Game and End Game, you can invest into adding runes to them as early as you get the items.
This is the current endgame gear you should aim for, and while it isn't easy to acquire, it offers great power without the need of acquiring archboss gear pieces. However, items like
Tevent's Fangs of Fury or other archboss weapons are superior but difficult to acquire for the majority of players. If you do manage to get the archboss weapons for your build, feel free to use them over the weapons shown here.

Dagger

You should be aiming to reach and unlock masteries (the corner nodes) as soon as possible as they usually make the largest impact in the build. While minor nodes shouldn't be forgotten, make sure to unlock masteries as fast as possible before spreading out and spending into less important nodes.
Your main goal is to get Calculated Power and Predator's Focus as soon as possible with the Weapon Mastery before pushing for Annihilator to further boost off hand damage which is incredibly important for all Crossbow builds. From the dagger side, the mian focus should be gaining access to Primal Strike as it greatly increases base attack damage.

Rotations
- This rotation is meant to deliver fast burst damage to a single target before they can respond. Ensure that both

Inject Venom and
Mother Nature's Protest are active before using
Shadow Strike to bind and silence your target before using
Inject Venom again for a bit of extra damage. Then, use
Mortal Mark alongside
Fatal Stigma to set up for the burst damage that follows. Use
Quick Fire then use
Nimble Leap to reset
Quick Fire CD and use it again before finishing off with
Brutal Incision to maximize the damage done by
Fatal Stigma and
Mortal Mark when they explode.
- This is a simple Range Burst Rotation meant to deal quick damage while remaining away from the target. Start by buffing with

Inject Venom before debuffing the target with
Mortal Mark and
Fatal Stigma.
Use
Quick Fire then use
Nimble Leap to reset
Quick Fire CD and use it again before using
Multi-Shot to reset
Nimble Leap and do it all over again if needed.

Camouflage Cloak: This serves as your primary defensive ability alongside
Selfless Diffusion. Employ it when you're under focused fire or need to relocate. It's also effective for resetting a fight and cooldowns after eliminating a target. Additionally, there are myriad other ways to utilize stealth, so don't hesitate to try it out!

Selfless Diffusion: This serves as your main offensive buff ability, boosting your extra Off-Hand Weapon Attack Chance, enhancing your damage potential and lowering cooldowns whenever you apply weaken effects through
Mother Nature's Protest.

Mana Exchange: This is your main mana gaining skill but also the best CC removal whenever your stone is on cooldown. Use this quickly as you get stunned before you get proned by enemies.
