Overview

A Power Spellbreaker Spellbreaker build for general open world that combines good crowd control and defense. By disabling its enemies, it gains increased damage, making crowd control important. And with Full Counter it can block incoming attacks.

As a downside, it little access to boons such as Fury Fury, no ranged damage, its damage relies on inflicting crowd control to trigger Attacker's Insight, and spellbreaker is limited to level 1 burst attacks and 2 adrenaline bars due to Spellbreaker's Conviction.

Weapon Variants

  • Dagger Dagger - offhand dagger can replace offhand mace to trade damage and crowd control for healing from Sun and Moon Style.

Skill variants

  • Signet of Fury is only taken for the passive precision buff but it can be replaced by Superior Sigil of Accuracy (replacing Impact sigil) if you'd rather have another utility skill.
  • "Shake It Off!" - fantastic stunbreak and condition cleanse

Ascended gear and stat infusions are not required; you can use exotic gear with the same stats.
This set uses gear similar to that of Build:Berserker_-_Power_DPS, making it a good option for general PVE.

  • Other relic alternatives include Relic of the Thief if you don't have access to Relic of the Claw, Relic of Zakiros to trade a minor amount of damage for sustain, Relic of the Cavalier to start combat with boons.
  • For defense, equip the highest tier Jade Core you can afford and use Jade Tech Defensive Protocols.

Budget consumables are acceptable for use in open world.

  • Prioritize Steak Ascended food.
  • Plate of Spicy Moa Wings / Bowl of Sweet and Spicy Butternut Squash Soup
  • Superior Sharpening Stone / Tin of Fruitcake

Usage

Damage

This build heavily benefits from using Crowd Control (cc) to gain stacks of Attacker's Insight. As such, CC is part of the damage rotation. It's very important to be familiar with your CC skills and to watch your stacks; if you have dropped a stack, CC skills take the highest priority.

CC will also activate Relic of the Claw for a nice damage boost. Your hammer and maces also deal increased damage to crowd controlled or defiant enemies thanks to Merciless Hammer.

Use "For Great Justice!" periodically to gain Fury Fury and some Might Might.

Hammer

Fierce Blow deals considerably higher damage against weakened Weakened targets, for example after you use a burst skill with Cull the Weak. Reset its cooldown with Backbreaker. On hammer you want to use all skills for damage.

Dagger/Mace

Crushing Blow is improved if you hit a disabled foe, for example after you use Bull's Charge. Use Tremor to reset its cooldown. Use Disrupting Stab for damage. Aura Slicer should only be used if you need mobility.

Defense

  • Full Counter lets you block and counter enemy attacks.
  • This build has many defensive skills and traits listed above to make use of. Use Warrior's high health pool and dodges to your advantage.
  • You have passive healing from Adrenal Health.
  • Consider replacing mace with offhand dagger to activate Sun and Moon Style if you need more sustain.

CC

The skills listed below are just the ones built into the default build. Warrior has a myriad of incredible CC options if you happen to need more.

Still a good build for people wanting a true melee class. It doesnt have the greatest dps but it makes up for it with Full Counter being an incredibly strong defensive and offensive ability. Also with the later expansions EoD and SotO, many enemies have increased access to boons like protection, quickness, and stability, which spellbeaker excels at removing.

A solid build for any who enjoys melee combat, truly fit the theme of a forminable fighter. Self sustained is so high while you are fighting, not much focus is needed because as long as you hit something you can heal up to full even below 50%. One more small benefit that if using Phalanx Strength this build practically immortal in zerg/massive meta while still provide extremely high might up time. The only downside is this build has limited CC unless you willing to give up some personal dps for mace/hammer/physical utilities.

As of 2021, this build is still an excellent solo build. Able to solo champions with relative ease thanks to the sustained healing from sun and moon and might makes right. "Shake it off" alone functions as a very good condi removal option and stunbreak. And full counter is a third dodge. Its only real weakness is its relatively short range, which is somewhat mitigated with its gap closing skills, namely GS 3, GS 5, dagger 2, and dagger burst. Overall, 5/5

The best solo build for warrior. Very versatile, relatively easy to play, and can quickly be adapted to fit different playstyle. Has gone from a build I rarely took seriously to one of my favorites very quickly.

A tanky, high AoE damage build for Spellbreaker. Excels at soloing group events and cleaving down trash mobs, and can survive some things it shouldn't be able to with Full Counter. Like all Warrior builds, its weakness is its short effective range.

A great build that fulfils classic warrior wielding a big sword fantasy, with not only great personal sustain and damage mitigation through Might Makes Right and Full Counter, but also extremely effective at generating its own might further increasing its damage between Forceful Greatsword and Magebane Tether. Alongside this it also has decent condition cleanse with Mending and Brawler's Recovery, as well as good mobility on Greatsword with Whirlwind Attack and Rush which are further enhanced by Warrior's Sprint removing immobile. This build, overall, is absolutely excellent, while being fun to play - between Mace and Shield skills, Hundred Blades, and Physical skills, it's easy to get the feeling that your warrior is this extremely strong unstoppable juggernaut.
