Overview

A Power damage focused Vindicator build with good sustain. It's not quite as durable as the Retribution version but the damage is higher and it's still fairly tanky. It's possible to push this build even further into the high risk, high reward territory by taking Devastation Devastation but the loss of cleansing could hurt a lot in certain matchups.

Specializations

Variants

All 3 options are viable for the last slot of Invocation:

  • Song of the Mists improves Quickness Quickness uptime and has synergy with Devastation Devastation if you're running that.
  • Charged Mists allows you to spend more energy each legend swap cycle, giving you more of everything.
  • Roiling Mists is an excellent passive damage boost that pushes you near the crit cap, and the build has permanent Fury Fury uptime to go with it.

Specialization Variants

Devastation over Salvation could also work. This results in far higher damage but much lower sustain, making the build a lot less forgiving to play:

Variants

  • Dance of Death offers better sustain.
  • Aggressive Agility adds some Resistance Resistance to skills like Deathstrike and Unrelenting Assault which could counter conditions such as Weakness Weakness, making it harder for enemies to shut down your damage.

Runes

There are plenty of other viable runes for this build, including:

  • Rune of Superior Rune of Divinity - cheap hybrid rune with both damage and sustain.
  • Rune of Superior Rune of the Dolyak - the 6th bonus secures permanent uptime on Unyielding Devotion and it's a strong defensive pick in general.
  • Rune of Superior Rune of Fireworks - good stats and an even better 6th proc. The Vigor Vigor from this rune allows you to run Song of Arboreum for better endurance regen.
  • Rune of Superior Rune of Surging - the Shocking Aura proc from the 6th bonus works quite well with the instant cast Urn of Saint Viktor when you're under heavy pressure, easily stopping any burst attempts if the enemies didn't have Stability Stability. The stats are nice too.

Consumables

Food

  • - extra endurance regen and the healing procs ensure effortless 100% uptime on Unyielding Devotion.
  • - same as the previous option but offers slightly higher damage instead of sustain. More endurance means more dodges, and dodging is a key part of the build.
  • - great offensive stats and extra tankiness via damage reduction.

Utility

  • or , whichever is cheaper.

Personally I prefer this in 1v1s over the more bunker-ish Retribution build, but that one certainly handles outnumbered situations better and is safer for beginners. Even this version's fairly tank,y probably a bit overtuned even for how much damage it does while having a bunch of defensive CDs for every situation. I like the trait flexibility too, there are more things that can be adjusted on this one to tailor it to your playstyle.
