The community gave this build a rating, making it top-tier: Great
Focused on: Condition damage and Support
Designed for: Open World and Open World General
Overview
Condition Firebrand overwhelms its enemies in Burning while offering high utility to self and allies such as Aegis, projectile reflection, and some healing.
Despite being a condition build, it offers significant burst damage since most of it comes from burning, which is the highest damaging condition at the expense of lower duration. Most of its damage is AOE, giving it great cleave.
Its primary weakness is its lack of mobility and low might generation.
Additionally, with a few changes, the build can sacrifice some of its damage to provide itself and nearby allies with permanent Quickness.

Weapon Variants
Usage of pistols requires Expanded Weapon Proficiency from Secrets of the Obscure. If you lack access to pistols, use Sword + Focus.
- Staff - more support and ranged AOE, can be considered if playing the quickness support variant.
- Greatsword - higher burst but worst sustained damage.
Skill Variants
and are great sourcess of damage, but not essential. is a good stunbreak. Other alternatives can be considered:
- Quickness for the support variant. - to provide
- - passive damage, can replace "Stand Your Ground!"
- alternative to "Stand Your Ground!" that provides more offensive boons, but can be risky in groups if it pulls too many conditions.

Specializations
- You can use if someone is already providing you with fury.
- is basically even in performance with for DPS Condi Firebrand when solo, so use whichever trait you prefer.
Honor
Honor offers higher might generation for yourself and nearby allies, longer boon duration from symbols, and higher defensive utility thanks to endurance regeneration and the small amount of sustain. Replaces Virtues at a significant DPS loss, but pairs very well with Celestial or Seraph (prefix).
Equipment
Ascended gear is not required. You can use exotic gear with the same stats instead.
Viper DPS Equipment
This variant uses equipment similar to existing Condi DPS Firebrand raid builds, making it an easy gearing option for general PVE.

The firebrand profession mechanic is their three Tomes, which replace their F1-F3 skills. When activated, Tomes replace your skillbar with new skills. Each Tome each is dedicated to a different specialty.
- Burning - Damage via
- - healing and condition cleanse
- - defensive boons and projectile reflection
Using a tome skill consumes 1 Page. Certain healing and defensive skills in the Tome of Resolve and Tome of Courage consume 2 Pages.
Below are some useful skills for each Tome:
- Chapter 2: Igniting Burst - great meele range damage
- Chapter 3: Heated Rebuke - circular pull that can group enemies
- Chapter 4: Scorched Aftermath - great damage and fire combo field
- Epilogue: Ashes of the Just - damage and might. Even better when near allies
- Chapter 4: Shining River - pulse healing and a large water field
- Epilogue: Eternal Oasis - increases incoming healing for yourself and allies. Converts 5 conditions into boons
- Chapter 3: Valiant Bulwark - a projectile reflection bubble
- Epilogue: Unbroken Lines - provides extreme defense to nearby allies for 5 seconds, aegis, and stability
Damage
The key to firebrand is weaving the Tome skills with your weapon skills.
You will spend most of your Pages on the Chapter 2: Igniting Burst, Chapter 4: Scorched Aftermath, and Epilogue: Ashes of the Just. The Epilogue can be precasted before you start a fight, or saved to also apply it to a .
using its high damage- Tome priority
You want to use these three skills off-cooldown. Note that Epilogue: Ashes of the Just shares cooldown with Chapter 3: Heated Rebuke can be used as an opener to pull enemies together.
so, if you use them together, you can look at Purging Flames to check the remaining cooldown of Epilogue: Ashes of the Just without having to open the Tome. You will have some spare Pages in case you need some utility from the other 2 Tomes.
For your utility skills, use
off-cooldown and spam all charges of . Using the final charge of a mantra will replenish 2 Pages from . If still in combat, recharge the mantra off-cooldown. Space out the usage of to help maintain vulnerability. As for your weapons, you can use all your skills loosely following this priority
- Axe-torch
- Pistol-pistol
- ⇒
- always try to charge it to level 3, then detonate it after it passes through the enemy.
Symbol of Ignition is very powerful, make sure to only use it when you will be free to ignite it by hitting your enemy with other skills/projectiles. Don't use Hail of Justice if you don't have an active Symbol of Ignition.
If everything you have is on cooldown, fill with auto-attacks.
Boons
If playing condition quickness (boon dps) firebrand with the required gear and traits and skills:
If you're struggling to maintain quickness, which can happen without alacrity, you can use
to help maintain it.Defense
- has many good defensive skills as mentioned above.
- Opening while it is NOT dormant will blind nearby enemies due to .
- Review your sourcess of Aegis in case you need to block a dangerous attack.
