Crossbow + Greatsword Large Scale PvP Build
- High Burst Damage
- High Kill Potential
- Squishy
- Difficult to pull off
Overview
This Greatsword and Crossbow build for large-scale PvP has a similar playstyle to small-scale or solo play and it fits perfectly for people that are more experienced playing solo or in small group content and just now wants to get involved with large scale PvP. The main thing you have to offer when playing this build is incredible kill potential and peeling for your backline while moving into the frontline of your zerg to help with pressure from time to time.
Attributes
With the main goal being to increase your damage potential most points should be invested into Dexterity and Perception. Aim for level 30 in each. Going past 30 increases the cost far too much and it isn't worth it. Instead, put the 9 leftover points into Strength for more health and extra damage provided by the Vital Force passive.
Skills
Skill Priority
Focus on upgrading Quick Fire and Mortal Mark as soon as possible, as they significantly enhance your damage output. Quick Fire is one of your main damaging abilities while Mortal Mark can mark a target and deal a percentage of the damage you've done to that target once the mark ends. This makes Mortal Mark pair perfectly with any rotation. Additionally, consider upgrading Selfless Diffusion for added survivability, especially in challenging situations where you need to get out of a Ensnaring Arrow bind.
Upgrade Valiant Brawl and Stunning Blow to rare quality to improve your single target rotation. Since Willbreaker starts as an epic skill, focus on upgrading Death Blow to epic so it can deal even more damage to stunned targets.
Passives Priority
Just like with the active skills, we don't use many low level passives, making the build considerably cheaper than other options. This only leaves Ambidexterity for you to upgrade for the added extra off-hand-weapon damage. You will mostly be using the Greatsword as your primary weapon and Ambidexterity pairs perfectly with the high chance of activating off-hand weapon the Crossbow has. Upgrade Vital Force to enhance both your skill damage based on the amount of health you boost with Robust Constitution. Additionally, prioritize Cold Warrior, as it increases your critical hit chance and heavy attack chance after using Stunning Blow, synergizing well once you transition into using either Death Blow or Guillotine Blade on the stunned target.

Crossbow:
Invest 9 points into Chain Fire to boost damage output and increase your kill potential as that is the main goal for you when playing this build. Invest the remaining 3 points into Regen for an extra 6% Amitoi Heal amount.
Greatsword:
Invest 9 points in Incapacitate for longer stuns and better stun chance. Then, use the remaining points in Face Off for increased damage output.
Rotations
- Starting the fight by closing the distance with Precision Dash into Stunning Blow to stun the enemy, allowing you to apply the Mortal Mark and Willbreaker debuff. Quickly continue with Death Blow for high damage whenever hitting a stunned target. Use Quick Fire as you reposition in case your target tries to run before using Valiant Brawl and Ascending Slash to secure the kill.
- While lacking in AoE DPS, this build is still capable of helping clean up enemies caught by your frontline. Use Precision Dash to position yourself into the clump before using Stunning Blow to stop your target from moving away. Cast Willbreaker for an AoE debuff on the enemies, stripping away their defenses before using Gaia Crash to damage the group. Once you start using Devastating Tornado, make sure to start looking for single targets with low HP that you could easily finish off before pulling back into the center of your zerg to peel for your healers and ranged DPS.
Guillotine Blade: This ability should only be used when coupled with Stunning Blow as the stunned target lets you cast the ability without risking the target repositioning. It can also replace Death Blow in the single target burst rotation!
Selfless Diffusion: This is your main defensive ability that will stop you from getting pinned down, useful when you're bound by abilities like Ensnaring Arrow or targeted by upgraded Shadow Strike.
Useful Information
- Select Lady Knight Kamarshea as your guardian; it offers essential protection with its shield, capable of absorbing damage equal to 50% of your mana. This not only aids in mitigating damage but also accelerates your cooldown speed, allowing you to use your abilities more frequently.
