Voidlance - Spear + Wand Large Scale PvP Build
- Easy to play
- Good AOE Support
- Good Utility
- Off-meta
- Low Mobility
Overview
This Voidlance builds mixes the single target Spear peel and damage with the potent Wand AOE healing and shielding potential. Even though the build is considered to be an off-meta choice and doesn't quite manage to output as much DPS as other Healer builds, the Spear + Wand combination still offers a fresh opportunity for players looking to incorporate the new Spear in their builds.
Attributes
You should aim to level your dexterity and strength primarily. Strength provides you with the needed defensive stats to survive each encounter, while dexterity allows you to deal the damage you need to end each encounter. Fortitude isn't a bad stat either, even though it doesn't offer as much as Strength, it still adds plenty of endurance to the build, bringing in more staying power.
Skills
Start by upgrading DPS skills first as they will help a lot when being part of Dominion events or other settings where you need to do some damage, especially with how there aren't many DPS skills in the build. Vicious Fury combos perfectly with Javelin Surge so these are the first two obvious choices before you upgrade Cyclonic Fury while Abyssal Cleave becomes important only for the longer CC duration which can help during PVP encounters, allowing you to peel for yourself with ease.
Your healing skills should be next as Fountain of Life, Swift Healing and Blessed Barrier are usually rotated to provide AOE healing to your team. Invincible Wall is another important skill to level up, greating increasing the health of the shield provided through this skill.
Cursed Nightmare and Karmic Haze is another important part of the build but upgrading these can wait a bit. However, the combo is capable of mass CC-ing groups of enemies and creating major play potential for your guild/alliance.
Don't outlook the passives though, focusing on Noble Revival, Saint's Oath & Selfless Soul for raw healing increase. Next up you should invest into Malice Surge so every time you receive damage you also have the chance to increase heavy attack chance (this also translates into heavy healing).
Equipment
These are the first items you should strive for through the leveling period as they are very easy to get and upgrade or trait as needed. However, you shouldn't try to trait these items too much as you won't be spending too much time playing with this setup before you start changing pieces into the Midgame. The green accessories however are very easy to trait as you can craft many of them quickly in order to get the correct traits so you should consider traiting them until you change into purples. The same goes for the blue ring as you keep it for a long time.
This is the gear you should transition to once you're leveled to 50 and start grinding gear. It is comprised of gear you can get either from dungeons or by completing Litographs, they are relatively easy to trait up and you will spend most of the time wearing this set before advancing into the late game so traiting these items is very important and should be your main focus.
This is the current endgame gear you should aim for, and while it isn't easy to acquire, it offers great power without the need of acquiring archboss gear pieces. However, items like Tevent's Fangs of Fury or other archboss weapons are superior but difficult to acquire for the majority of players. If you do manage to get the archboss weapons for your build, feel free to use them over the weapons shown here.

Spear: Adding points into Face Off and Destroy is the best choice for the Spear mastery as they increase CC chance, Ignite damage, Skill damage resistance and even a skill damage boost allowing you to both deal more damage AND also heal more. The one last point will then be added into Charge for a bit of extra base defense.
Wand: Invest the 9 first points into Recovery for extra heavy attack chance while the next 9 points go into Weaken for another boost to skill powers. The last point can go into Damage for extra base damage (this also translates into healing).
Rotations
- Even though this isn't the most flashy rotation, it is incredibly powerful at catching enemies unaware and stacking them up, allowing your team to make plays as follow-up to your catch.
- Find a group of enemies stacked together and target one of them before using Cursed Nightmare to put them to sleep, then activate Karmic Haze to spread the sleep effect to nearby enemies so they are stuck in place or forced to use their Purification Stone. Drop Corrupted Magic Circle on top of the players caught to also add extra damage and trigger your passives.
- Use this rotation to CC and do damage to whatever player is pressuring you. Of course, this can also be used to catch enemies out of position.
- Begin with Abyssal Cleave to stun the target and boost your follow-up critical damage. Use Cyclonic Fury to apply Ignite stacks then use Vicious Fury to build up Ember stacks on yourself so you can use Javelin Surge to finish off the target.
Fountain of Life: Call your group mates together when you use this skill and use it to deliver high AOE tick healing as they stand in it. You can also use this to heal your tanks by dropping it down under their feet and letting them sit in it while blocking to minimize damage taken.
Swift Healing: This is your single target heal, use it on friendly players that are caught out of position or otherwise need immediate healing. You can also use this on yourself but using it on another player will still heal you for 50% of the healing done.
Blessed Barrier: Use this to both save friendly players and also boost the healing delivered to the targets that have Blessed Barrier active.
Corrupted Magic Circle: Mainly used for applying pressure in choke points when used outside the sleep rotation, put it down in a spot where enemies might pass through in large numbers. This triggers Retaliatory Strike but also can trigger Full of Corruption so its a very useful skill.
Unyielding Sentinel: This is fantastic for your own sustain, granting a large HP shield that allows you to tank more damage, pairing well with Blessed Barrier and Invincible Wall while also offering heavy attack chance.
