This build is capable of providing permanent uptimes of {{tooltip|Protection}} and {{tooltip|Might}}. It can also generate 100% {{tooltip|Quickness}} uptime to its subgroup, though doing so requires using skills that provide blast and leap finishers off cooldown, reducing your ability to use those abilities reactively. {{tooltip|Swiftness}} is provided by {{skill|Glob Shot}} (elixir gun) and blasting your lightning fields, and it also offers permanent {{tooltip|Superspeed}}, which is quite valuable on encounters with high movement, and also to DPS [[Build:Scrapper_-_Power_DPS|Scrappers]].

'''Healing Skills'''

If you are the sole {{tooltip|Quickness}} provider for your subgroup, you can take {{Skill|Medic Gyro}} for an extra ~20% uptime, which will allow you to delay some skills a bit, though the loss of {{skill|Med Kit}} will massively reduce your healing output.

'''Utility'''

Any of the utility skills can be swapped out if needed, just be aware of what you're losing:

* {{skill|Elixir Gun}} provides a range of utility - {{tooltip|Swiftness}}, {{tooltip|Regeneration}}, condi cleanse, a blast finisher and healing.

* {{Skill|Blast Gyro}} gives extra {{tooltip|Might}} as well as a blast finisher.

Overview

A healing Scrapper build for raids, this build brings extremely high healing and strong defensive utility, including a ranged resurrect with Function Gyro.

This build is capable of providing permanent uptimes of Protection Protection and Might Might. It can also generate 100% Quickness Quickness uptime to its subgroup, though doing so requires using skills that provide blast and leap finishers off cooldown, reducing your ability to use those abilities reactively. Swiftness Swiftness is provided by Glob Shot (elixir gun) and blasting your lightning fields, and it also offers permanent Superspeed Superspeed, which is quite valuable on encounters with high movement, and also to DPS Scrappers.

Utility

Weapon Variants

  • It is worth having Mace/Shield on the second weapon set as it has a few benefits despite the lower healing:
    • Skills 3-5 provide more CC than Short Bow can offer, as well as having a knockback.
    • Magnetic Shield (engineer) is a projectile reflect.
    • Static Shield is very useful if tanking.
  • For players that do not own Secrets of the Obscure, offhand Shield is too important to drop, and the only core mainhand weapon Scrapper has is Pistol.

Skill Variants

Utility

Any of the utility skills can be swapped out if needed, just be aware of what you're losing:

  • Bulwark Gyro provides some barrier and a lightning field, and the toolbelt skill provides Stability Stability.
  • Elixir Gun provides a range of utility - Swiftness Swiftness, Regeneration Regeneration, condi cleanse, a blast finisher and healing.
  • Blast Gyro gives extra Might Might as well as a blast finisher.

Replacement options:

  • Purge Gyro - for condition-heavy fights like Slothasor.
  • Elixir B - AoE stability and a variety of possible boons from the tool belt skill.
  • Elixir R - ranged resurrect from the tool belt skill.
  • Flamethrower - provides a blind and a knockback.
  • Tool Kit - provides a block, useful if tanking.
  • Personal Battering Ram - more CC.
  • If you take Experimental Turrets you are able to provide an additional boon to your subgroup:
    • Thumper Turret - provides 3 blast finishers, and pulses Protection Protection. The blast finishers will also make maintaining Quickness Quickness significantly easier.
    • Rifle Turret - pulses Fury Fury.
    • Flame Turret - pulses Might Might to your subgroup if traited.

Utility

Usage

Quickness

Use Infusion Bomb, Acid Bomb, Blast Gyro, Function Gyro and the weapon skills listed below in combo fields for Quickness Quickness. You have a decent amount of overcap, so you can afford to delay or skip these skills if necessary.

  • Acid Bomb in particular is dangerous as it launches you backwards. This can be prevented by quickly weapon swapping mid-air.
  • Function Gyro and Blast Gyro provide their own combo fields.
  • If you have any doubt about whether there is a combo field down, all Elite Mortar Kit skills except Mortar Shot provide them.

Short Bow

  • Essence of Animated Sand
  • Essence of Borrowed Time

Short Bow also comes with two combo fields:

  • Essence of Living Shadows
  • Essence of Liquid Wrath

Mace/Shield

  • Energizing Slam
    • Energizing Slam will make you leap forward and cannot be cancelled, so keep that in mind before using it.
  • Magnetic Shield (engineer) Magnetic Inversion,

Healing

  • Med Kit is your bread and butter. Spam Med Blaster to keep people topped off, using Throw Bandages, Vital Burst, and Bandage Self for burst healing.
    • Being in Med Kit increases the healing effectiveness of all your skills, not just your Med Kit skills.
  • Essence of Living Shadows (Short Bow), Elixir Shell (in Elite Mortar Kit) and Super Elixir (in Elixir Gun) are additional healing skills you can use.
  • Use Healing Mist and Infusion Bomb off cooldown to keep up regeneration.
  • If using Relic of Karakosa, any successful blast finisher will heal.
  • This build has many blast finishers, including Blast Gyro, Infusion Bomb, Acid Bomb, and Magnetic Inversion. Blast the water field from Cleansing Field or Elixir Shell for ~2000 instant healing per blast. Blast Flash Shell or Super Elixir to cleanse conditions.
  • Use Cleansing Field, Fumigate, or Super Elixir for condition cleanse. For more condition-heavy fights you can consider bringing Purge Gyro and Purity of Purpose.

Mitigation

  • Bulwark Gyro pulses barrier over a few seconds, making it especially effective if you know a large amount of damage is incoming.
  • Essence of Animated Sand also provides barrier.
  • Essence of Liquid Wrath on Short Bow and your Shield skills grant Protection Protection, as do Bandage Self and your Function Gyro. This is easily sufficient to maintain Protection Protection.
  • If Stability Stability is needed, use Defense Field. If more is required, Mass Momentum allows your Function Gyro to provide Stability Stability as well.
  • You can use Defense Field to destroy projectiles. If you have Experimental Turrets your turrets will also spawn with reflective shields, but be careful of accidentally reflecting shards on Cairn or Matthias.

Miscellaneous

  • If people are going down, you can revive them from range with Function Gyro or Toss Elixir R. You can combine this with your normal revive to pick people up quickly.

A great healer, that people are really sleeping on.

Icedmanta gave this build 5 stars • July 2021
With recent changes to Scrapper's ability to provide boons to a group, this build is a viable (and in some cases preferable) alternative to a Firebrand, only lacking in certain areas such as might/fury output and other raw boon outputs provided by Firebrand.
5 stars
Chinkeeyong gave this build 5 stars • October 2018
An extremely solid healer for training groups or groups looking for a safer clear, with ridiculous sustained healing and condition cleanse. It offers heavy defensive utility like Firebrand as well as fast rezzes like Scourge. Perhaps the best reason to bring it is Bulwark Gyro, which offers damage reduction in high-pressure fights.
