Overview

Low-Intensity Flamethrower is one of the easiest builds to play in the game, which features permanent Stability Stability granting near immunity to CC passively

What Is LI?

LI stands for "Low-Intensity". LI builds are a class of builds that work to slow the game down drastically by using passive defense and builds that require very low input to function. These builds are designed primarily for players that have disabilities that may prevent them from playing higher intensity builds, though they are here for any player who wishes to play them.

LI builds function quite well on their own and are created to be equivalent to our General or Roaming build section. They typically do not output especially high DPS and focus on gear with passive defense

Specializations

Tier 2

If comfortable with the above, consider swapping Inventions for Explosives.

  • If using the Celestial equipment below, consider Shrapnel instead.
  • Note that with Explosives traited, you generate an Explosion on your next attack after each dodge roll. If you are uncomfortable with dodging, this trait line is not recommended.

Equipment

Ascended gear and stat infusions are not required; exotic gear with the same stats is fine.

Tier 1: Soldier

This Tier of equipment uses armor with extremely high defense and low damage. It is the easiest tier to use, but its lack of DPS can cause problems in certain aspects of the game.
Soldier is used here because Engineer's Flamethrower does not have much scaling, so we choose gear with relatively high defense and use sigils that grant Quickness Quickness as our primary damage modifier. Our runes provide us with much-needed precision and boon duration.

  • Wanderer Wanderer can be used for a very slight damage boost, though it is not recommended due to cost.
  • Knight Knight and Commander Commander can offer slightly higher damage at the cost of defense.
  • Berserker Berserker with Knight Knight trinkets offers much higher DPS but much lower defense.

Tier 2: Celestial

This tier of equipment offers a moderate balance of DPS and defense. It can be harder to obtain than the Tier 1 gear, however, but is well worth the investment.

Very good. I just sit there with a flame thrower, robot does most of the work, keeps the agro against field mobs and I just flame them automatically. Good for someone who only has one had to use due to injury, or problems focusing and remembering combos, like me.
