Skills
- Exploding Uppercut — While the damage is low, Exploding Uppercut resets your Hook cooldown whenever you hit an enemy player. It also doubles your gun magazine! However, you can also use Exploding Uppercut coupled with Sticky Bomb to throw troopers into the enemy trooper wave and dominate the laning phase. Keep in mind that you can also use it on your team mates and enemies alike!
- Sticky Bomb — When coupled with Exploding Uppercut, Sticky Bomb deals incredible AOE damage in both the laning phase and as your main damage during fights. You can attach the Sticky Bomb to players, troopers and even yourself. Hitting players with it also permanently increases its damage.
- Hook — Use it to setup your Sticky Bomb + Exploding Uppercut combo as every time you manage to hook a player should guarantee a successful combo. You can also use Hook to save teammates from bad situations when they are in danger, pulling them to you.
- Hyper Beam — This is one of the most oppressive skills in the game and should be used during every team fight to gain an advantage and also heal yourself during the fight. Always use Hyper Beam from above to make it more difficult for enemies to hide from it and allow you to hit as many enemies as possible.
Early Game / Laning Phase
Use Bebop's powerful kit to dominate the laning phase through the use of Hook to catch enemies whenever they overextend before following up by applying Sticky Bomb. Quickly throw them away with Exploding Uppercut before they can react! You should always look for different angles to land Hook by peeking around cover in the lane as much as possible to keep the enemy guessing where you are going to strike from.
Extra Spirit & Mystic Burst greatly increase Sticky Bomb damage and should be the first items you buy to make your laning phase easier.
Focus on clearing the wave during the laning phase by using Sticky Bomb and Exploding Uppercut to clear the trooper waves. Use this opportunity to land your Hook as enemies often get distracted trying to deny the souls once their wave is dead. On the other hand, you should deny as many souls as you can to gain an advantage against the enemy and buy more items quicker.
Early Game Situational
If you are struggling in lane, Healing Rite can offer great healing without requiring you to go back to the base but you must remain outside of enemy range as any attack you receive from enemies will cancel the item. You should sell this later into the game as its value lowers while the game advances.
Mid Game
Once you make it into the Mid Game and the Midboss spawns, Bebop becomes a stronger team fighter. Make sure to rush Echo Shard right after the early game for a large power spike that will help you snowball into the late game.
Focus on picking fights as often as possible, roaming the map to gank enemies, and clear neutral jungle camps for extra souls while pressuring lanes towards the enemy walkers, taking down 2 as early as possible to unlock your second flex slot and help with gaining an advantage in the game against the enemy team.
Improved Burst & Improved Spirit will add even more damage to Sticky Bomb while Superior Cooldown and Improved Reach should be applied to Hook so you have more opportunities to land pulls.
While Bebop is a terrible Urn carrier, you should keep an eye on it nonetheless as catching enemies carrying it can easily translate to a quick kill. It is best to always fight for the Urn though as it provides a big souls advantage for you and your team.
Late Game
The late game is when Bebop becomes a monster and enemies begin to fear every hook as it often ends with a kill thanks to high damage increase from Boundless Spirit, Surge of Power and Mystic Reverb! Continue pushing for uneven fights in your advantage to maximize your impact on the match. Press this advantage and aim to kill Midboss with every team fight you win. During Midboss fights, you can use Hyper Beam from the top of the pit in order to deny enemies trying to take it.
Stay with your team as much as possible in the late game so you do not get caught out of position and die. Even though Bebop is a great duelist and can take a lot of 1vs1 fights, he cannot handle multiple enemies too well in the late game, especially if Hyper Beam is on cooldown so try to avoid 1vsX fights as much as possible.
Situational Items
These items can be bought up to counter certain heroes as they work perfectly for specific scenarios.
- Decay is one of the best items in the game and the perfect counter to tanks and healing enemies as it deals damage based on the amount of HP the enemy has while also greatly lowering enemy healing. This works great vs heroes like Abrams, Viscous or Infernus and can be coupled with Healbane.
- Shadow Weave — This is a fantastic choice as a luxury item in the end game when you have too many souls and a full build but you are still struggling against Vindicta and Grey Talon.
- Ethereal Shift — Great to avoid high damage skills like Guided Owl.
- Knockdown — Cheap item to counter both snipers like Vindicta and Grey Talon by knocking them out of the air. This also works on Seven while he is ulting and he will also be stopped.
- Curse — This item interrupts spellcasting, silences and disarms a target while also making them incapable of using items for the duration. While it is expensive, it can help a lot vs the Dynamos Singularity and many more and its one of the most powerful items in the game.
- Silence Glyph — Buy this if you want to silence enemies and turn them into a quick kill. Works exceptionally well vs enemies that make use of short cooldowns like Lash. It is also great for countering Yamato as the silence can stop her from using the ultimate.
- Debuff Remover — This item removes all debuffs when pressed and can be amazing vs heroes like Bebop as it counters his Sticky Bomb entirely.
- Metal Skin — While not very useful against other heroes, this is very good vs Hazes ultimate, allowing you to reposition away from her while she uses it without taking any damage.
- Soul Rebirth — Another item worth buying late into the match as it brings you back to life and allows you to initiate, pull enemies to kill you while you do maximum damage then revive. Keep in mind that enemies can see that you've got this item under your hero's icon at the top of the screen.
