Deadlock Wraith Build
Overview
Wraith is one of the strongest roaming/ganking heroes in Deadlock while remaining relatively easy to play and focusing on bullet damage which makes her a great choice for players with great aim. Wraith boasts great mobility and single target damage, scaling quickly and dominating from the mid game onwards as her abilities improve and Telekinesis becomes AOE, capable of catching a group of players at the same time.
- High mobility and very slippery thanks to Project Mind.
- Easy to play.
- High Single Target DPS.
- Great late game crowd control.
- Low damage early into the game.
- Squishy and easily countered by long ranged heroes like Vindicta and Grey Talon if Telekinesis is on cooldown.
- Card Trick is very unreliable, sometimes missing entirely.

Skills
- Card Trick — This ability recharges by attacking enemies with your gun! While this skill can do good damage early, in the laning phase, it falls off considerably later into the game. However, you should still use Card Trick to bully enemies out of lane and keep a health advantage against them.
- Project Mind — Use it to escape ganks and to get away from a losing fight by repositioning. Always try to reposition on top of a building if possible as you are very difficult to catch if moving up on buildings for vertical advantage.
- Full Auto — Wraiths bread and butter ability. While it can be used on cooldown to clear waves and jungle camps, it is best used when you have a chance to DPS a target trapped into Telekinesis.
- Telekinesis — This is one of the strongest CCs in the game as it can be used to lock down an enemy entirely, so you can kill them before they can even react. Telekinesis can also be upgraded to CC all enemy players near Wraith, acting as a great setup for Dynamos Singularity or your team to collapse and kill the entire enemy team.
Early Game / Laning Phase
During the laning phase, make sure to hit the enemy player as much as possible with your gun as doing so charges up your Card Trick and allows you to use the skill to further poke the enemy out of position and possibly even get early kills. Prioritize Infuser as your first item as it offers life steal and pairs well with Full Auto, greatly increasing your damage alongside Ammo Scavenger.
Focus on farming troopers in lane and denying the enemy to pull ahead in souls. Wraiths damage falls off hard with distance so try to fight around the middle of the lane, using the pillars and bridge as cover as much as possible without pushing past your troop wave and into the enemy troopers as they deal high damage.
Headshot Booster, Basic Magazine and Sprint Boots should be the only other items you buy to boost your damage before rushing Tesla Bullets which is your main power spike in the early game, allowing you to do high burst damage with Full Auto, especially while hitting headshots.
Early Game Situational
If you are struggling in lane, Healing Rite can offer good healing without requiring you to go back to the base but you must remain outside of enemy range as any attack you receive from enemies will cancel the item. You should sell this later into the game as its value lowers while the game advances.
Mid Game
The Mid Game is when Wraith begins to shine. Push the enemy lane guardian and get rid of it before beginning to gank other lanes once you've acquired your Telekinesis and can easily pick kills in other lanes to boost yourself and your team souls.
With Tesla Bullets, Wraith is one of the quickest heroes to clear neutral jungle camps and vending machines. This should be your main focus during the mid game as building up a souls advantage is essential.
Focus on getting Pristine Emblem to further boost your damage, especially against enemies above 50% HP then work on Active Reload to further increase your damage while using Bullet Resist Shredder to decrease enemy resistance.
Bullet Lifesteal and Escalating Resilience help a lot with your dueling, making Wraith shine in 1vs1 situations that can easily develop into a team fight advantage for you. Meanwhile, Suppressor is very useful when fighting bullet focused heroes like Haze.
Late Game
During the late game, you should focus on controlling Midboss and picking lone enemies that are jungling or split pushing, denying their growth in the game. Wraith is one of the strongest in a 1vs1 scenario and can easily gank stationary heroes like McGinnis, Lady Geist or Bebop. Always press this advantage and make the game hell for your enemies, focusing the ones that are out of position and without enough mobility to get away from your ganks.
Titanic Magazine should be the first item you buy in the late game to increase your gun damage and ammo while also pairing perfectly with Vampiric Burst which increases your life steal even further while also increasing your fire rate.
Buy Veil Walker to become invisible whenever you pass through a cosmic veil, becoming an even more dangerous ganker in the late game as this allows you to position close for Telekinesis.
Silencer is considered a luxury item that works great versus Seven's Storm Cloud, Dynamo's Singularity or other heroes that rely on their ultimate.
Situational Items
These items can be bought up to counter certain heroes as they work perfectly for specific scenarios.
- Healbane — This is a great item choice against healing heavy heroes like Infernus or Abrams, helping you take them down.
- Knockdown — Cheap item to counter both snipers like Vindicta and Grey Talon by knocking them out of the air. This also works on Seven while he is ulting and he will also be stopped.
- Unstoppable — A fantastic choice for becoming unstoppable and immune to CCs, especially useful against CC heavy teams.
- Curse — This item interrupts spellcasting, silences and disarms a target while also making them incapable of using items for the duration. While it is expensive, it can help a lot vs Sevens Storm Cloud, Dynamos Singularity and many more and its one of the most powerful items in the game.
- Silence Glyph — Buy this if you want to silence enemies and turn them into a quick kill. Works exceptionally well vs enemies that make use of short cooldowns like Lash. It is also great for countering Yamato as the silence can stop her from using the ultimate.
- Debuff Remover — This item removes all debuffs when pressed and can be amazing vs heroes like Bebop as it counters his Sticky Bomb entirely.
- Metal Skin — While not very useful against other heroes, this is very good vs Hazes ultimate, allowing you to reposition away from her while she uses it without taking any damage.
