Overview

Mo and Krill is one of the most mobile heroes in Deadlock while also being very tanky. Mo and Krill have great potential for ganking through the use of BurrowBurrow and is one of the biggest counters to heroes like Haze or Wraith as Sand BlastSand Blast completely disarms them, acting as a fantastic counter to all bullet based heroes.

Mo and Krill has the ability of locking down enemies with ComboCombo and can easily overwhelm a single enemy while his AOE CC from BurrowBurrow is an incredible ability to use in team fights in order to create chaos in the enemy team! Mo and Krill are difficult to kill and one of the best choices for both new and veteran players.

Strengths
  • Easy to Play.
  • Very Tanky.
  • Great CC skills & Self-healing.
  • High mobility and ganking potential thanks to BurrowBurrow.
Weaknesses
  • Low range, requiring to be in melee range to be effective.
  • Team reliant as ComboCombo leaves you vulnerable in team fights.

Skills

  • ScornScorn — This AOE damaging skill not only deals damage but also heals Mo and Krill based on the damage you do with it. This makes it so you should always aim to hit as many enemies as possible and is perfect for when you are taking neutral jungle camps.
  • BurrowBurrow — Your main mobility skill, this increases your movement speed and resistances while you move under ground. Use this to engage into fights or when you are ganking as popping out of the ground stuns all enemies caught in the area and can setup for ComboCombo.
  • Sand BlastSand Blast — While the damage is negligible, you should use this against enemies like Haze who focus on dealing damage with their guns as the skill disarms them entirely.
  • ComboCombo — Use this to lock down enemies once you've initiated a team fight as it locks down an enemy while doing constant damage to them. Try to use this skill where team mates can see it so they can help with killing the enemy quickly as every kill permanently increases your HP.

Early Game / Laning Phase

While in the Laning Phase, is great for bullying the enemy and being oppressive through the constant use of Sand BlastSand Blast as that disables enemy guns and can be very punishing when its followed up by damage from your lane partner if you are in the duo lane. Otherwise, Mo's gun damage shouldn't be neglected either as it does solid damage even at medium range!

Use ScornScorn on troopers to both heal yourself and clear waves quickly as the low cooldown can be abused very often to keep yourself alive while applying pressure to the enemy as you gain souls advantage.

Restorative ShotRestorative Shot and Extra RegenExtra Regen help with lane survivability while Sprint BootsSprint Boots helps with your mobility.

Boost your ScornScorn damage and range with Mystic BurstMystic Burst and Mystic ReachMystic Reach, also considerably increasing your healing throughout the game and also helping with jungle camps.

Buy both Monster RoundsMonster Rounds and BerserkerBerserker too! They help a great deal with improving your damage, especially when jungling, increasing your damage when you take damage from all sources.

Early Game Situational

If you are struggling in lane, Healing RiteHealing Rite can offer great healing without requiring you to go back to the base but you must remain outside of enemy range as any attack you receive from enemies will cancel the item. You should sell this later into the game as its value lowers while the game advances.

Rush Torment PulseTorment Pulse in the early game if your lane is easy and you have no issues getting kills/pushing guardian. This will greatly improve your damage!

Mid Game

Once Mid game begins, start looking for for opportunities to gank as your superior mobility lets you jump between lanes quickly but try to take down the first guardian before starting to roam the map. Help lanes as much as possible to pressure walkers and clear waves to keep them all pushed

Try to secure all vending machines and as many neutral camps as you can (preferably from the enemy side of the map to deny their growth). The mid game is the right time to pull ahead and build up a great souls advantage. With the use of FleetfootFleetfoot, Mo and Krill is a very strong Urn carrier. You can use FleetfootFleetfoot alongside BurrowBurrow in order to carry the Urn under the ground while moving quickly through the map before the enemy team can react.

Focus on getting FleetfootFleetfoot as the first item into the mid game as it offers incredible mobility especially when coupled with BurrowBurrow, helping you jump between lanes with ease and gank or put pressure on the enemy team.

Cold FrontCold Front is the perfect item to slow enemies after you've used BurrowBurrow as it can be activated right after you've moved out of the ground and CC'd them. Slowing HexSlowing Hex on the other hand also stops enemies from using movement skills like Vindicta's FlightFlight, denying them from gaining vertical advantage.

Debuff ReducerDebuff Reducer is of great use as it improves your survivability alongside Bullet ArmorBullet Armor & Spirit ArmorSpirit Armor.

Late Game

Focus on team fights once the late game begins and team fights become much more important. Roaming the map and remaining out of view is a great way to play Mo and Krill in the late game as you can move into fights and then get out quickly. As you keep delivering the Urn, you should focus playing around the Midboss and assisting team mates whenever they make a push, especially when you have the opportunity to turn a 1vs1 fight into a 2vs1 in your favour.

Improved ReachImproved Reach should be used on BurrowBurrow to increase the range of it while Improved Spirit ArmorImproved Spirit ArmorImproved Bullet ArmorImproved Bullet Armor are obvious upgrades to help with your sustain in the late game.

The Echo ShardEcho Shard is your biggest power spike in the late game. It is perfect for Mo and Krill, allowing you to use BurrowBurrow twice and chain CC-ing the enemy while doing high damage and using your other regular abilities again.

Situational Items

These items can be bought up to counter certain heroes as they work perfectly for specific scenarios.

  • HealbaneHealbane - This is a great item choice against healing heavy heroes like Infernus or Abrams, helping you take them down.
  • Ethereal ShiftEthereal Shift — Great to avoid high damage skills like Guided OwlGuided Owl.
  • KnockdownKnockdown — Cheap item to counter both snipers like Vindicta and Grey Talon by knocking them out of the air. This also works on Seven while he is ulting and he will also be stopped.
  • CurseCurse — This item interrupts spellcasting, silences and disarms a target while also making them incapable of using items for the duration. While it is expensive, it can help a lot vs the Dynamos SingularitySingularity and many more and its one of the most powerful items in the game.
  • Silence GlyphSilence Glyph — Buy this if you want to silence enemies and turn them into a quick kill. Works exceptionally well vs enemies that make use of short cooldowns like Lash. It is also great for countering Yamato as the silence can stop her from using the ultimate.
  • Debuff RemoverDebuff Remover — This item removes all debuffs when pressed and can be amazing vs heroes like Bebop as it counters his Sticky BombSticky Bomb entirely.
  • Metal SkinMetal Skin — While not very useful against other heroes, this is very good vs Hazes ultimate, allowing you to reposition away from her while she uses it without taking any damage.
  • Soul RebirthSoul Rebirth — Another item worth buying late into the match as it brings you back to life and allows you to initiate, pull enemies to kill you while you do maximum damage then revive. Keep in mind that enemies can see that you've got this item under your hero's icon at the top of the screen.
