Tier placement is based on large scale. The tiers can essentially be read as:

  • Meta = Used in ~100% of groups
  • Great = Widely used
  • Good = Moderate usage
  • Basic = Low usage and/or extremely niche
  • Test = New builds and builds that received significant balance changes
  • Draft = Builds that are not complete (usually lacking a usage section)

Difficulty score is based on mechanical difficulty to master. There are very few builds in WvW that are difficult to get to baseline effectiveness (i.e. giving stability as a Firebrand is enough for baseline effectiveness, but far from mastering the class).
